About the Artist
Megha Sanjay is a dynamic Bharatanatyam artist, choreographer, and cultural organizer known for her powerful stage presence and visionary behind-the-scenes leadership. Trained for over 19 years in the Pandanallur and Vazhuvoor banis under Guru Lakshmi Iyer, Megha's dance is widely recognized for its emotive depth, precise technique, and storytelling flair. She has been hailed as a rising voice in the field — with performances in Seattle, Bangalore, and St. Louis praised for their intensity, clarity, and contemporary resonance.

But Megha’s impact extends far beyond performance. For over a decade, she has worked tirelessly as an organizer, producer, and advocate for Indian classical arts — shaping the ecosystem through event production, artist support, and platform-building. She has held long-standing roles with Abhinay Fine Arts in Seattle, co-founded and managed the large-scale dance gala VAHni, and served as Logistics Chair for the nonprofit Virtual Arts for Humanity.
Megha currently serves as Director of Operations at Arts India US, where she helps lead national initiatives to support emerging Indian classical artists in the U.S.

She also brings a global and interdisciplinary perspective to her work, holding a Master’s in International Affairs(specializing in Southeast Asia and International Management) and dual Bachelor’s degrees in International Business and Speculative Design from UC San Diego. In her parallel career, she serves as Director of Operations at Omnicure Inc., leading strategic development and having helped implement a nationwide telemedicine program during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now based in St. Louis, Megha is actively involved in urban planning, arts development, and community-driven cultural programming, with a long-term commitment to merging policy, design, and performance. In 2024, she launched Janya, an initiative that reimagines South Asian arts through immersive storytelling, collaborative productions, and platforms for dialogue and education — building bridges between heritage and innovation.
